Membership
Our members are special people who realize the importance of preserving the history of Cuyuna Country. They also realize that the Cuyuna Country Heritage Preservation Society can only do this important work with the help of others.

This board values its volunteers and its financial supporters. Membership in the Society provides you with the following benefits:

Unlimited free admission to the materials and resources available from the Society's research room at the Heritage Office in the lower level of the Unity Bank of Crosby in Crosby, Minnesota.
  • family record files, oral histories
  • manuscripts, documents, written histories and memories
  • old family pictures
  • old atlases and maps
  • local newspapers on microfilm at the J.F. Hallett Memorial Library
  • Bureau of Land Office Original Tract Entry records from 1862 forward (homesteader records, land purchases) for the northern and eastern townships of Crow Wing County on microfilm and CD-ROM.

Quarterly history magazines, "Digging into the Past" published by the Society.
[Because of cost, these will be published only when a subject of general interest needs to be explored in depth.]
Copies of past magazines are available.


Between publications, quarterly update newsletters also keep members informed.

Invitations to the annual dinner meeting with entertainment provided by local musicians and storytellers or historians.


Invitations to lectures, classes, and workshops provided by the Society.

Memberships are valid from January 1 to December 31 each year.
