Homesteaders John and Amelia Lambert were the first homesteaders on the property that today comprises the town of Emily, the Emily Charter School, the Emily Methodist Church, St. Emily's Catholic Church, and the home of Ben and Zorka Martin. Ben is a grandson of the Lamberts, and the Martins have donated many pictures and stories to the CCHPS. This picture is of John and Amelia in front of the Lambert's original log homestead c. 1905.
